David Samuel Bloch has written and produced all of the songs on Lights of Life, as well as on Singing in the Dark and Nothing But Light (and Cross Over, the two CD compilation) and provides all of the instrumentation, including guitars (12-string and 6-string steel and nylon), electric bass, piano, and a smattering of djembe drum and clarinet. He also sings and provides vocal harmonies on several songs. The instrumental accompaniment on Lights of Life is provided by David on the twelve-string guitar.

Julie Hagan Bloch's beautiful voice graces two of the songs on Lights of Life and six of the compositions on Singing in the Dark and Nothing But Light (and Cross Over, the two CD compilation).
